Jean Dubuffet & Niki de Saint Phalle

Chassés croisés

Curator: Déborah Lehot-Couette

The Dubuffet Foundation presents ‘Jean Dubuffet & Niki de Saint Phalle, Chassés croisés’ from 1 October 2025 to 13 February 2026. This exhibition explores key thematic intersections between Jean Dubuffet and Niki de Saint Phalle, focusing on their subversive approach to the female body, their experimentation with various materials, their distinctive treatment of landscape, and their shared ambition to create large-scale sculptural and architectural works. This dialogue is based on significant connections, for example Saint Phalle's early discovery of Dubuffet's work in Paris in the 1950s. Organised in partnership with the Niki Charitable Art Foundation (NCAF), this unique confrontation brings together more than 60 works by Jean Dubuffet and Niki de Saint Phalle from public and private collections.
